The Team

There are two principals at 121 Marketing Resources, Inc., plus a cadre of experienced, trusted resources we call upon as needed to work with our clients.

 

Our principals. . .Jim Kendall and Rich Flansburg. . .understand the new competitive and regulatory realities community banks face.  And they are well aware of the challenges. . .and opportunities. . .the Great Recession has presented privately held businesses.

 

They’re top-flight, but they are people, too:

Rich Flansburg
  • If Rich isn’t here, he’s probably out running.  He claims that he gets his best ideas while treading the running paths around Wheaton and environs.
  • The best “ad guy” we know, Rich has a good handle on modern media.
  • Rich is the only person at 121 Marketing Resources who graduated from the University of Tulsa.  At least, we think he graduated.
  • He loves cars and auto racing.

Dream:  The south of France with his wife.

Jim Kendall

  • If Jim isn’t here, he’s probably with his granddaughters.  He does get his best ideas from those girls.
  • He writes a weekly newspaper column on small business management.
  • It all started at a small radio station in Virginia. Later, Jim co-hosted a weekly business radio program on public radio.
  • Jim will talk to almost any audience – well, at least two people – about marketing.

Dream:   To be a gentleman farmer.  Or sell his wife’s Iowa land to Wal-Mart.
